Project Learning

Project Learning

Our Project Learning curriculum provides pupils with opportunities to explore history and geography through topic-based projects. Learning is designed to build knowledge over time while encouraging curiosity, enquiry and meaningful connections between subjects.

Pupils study a wide range of themes spanning ancient and modern contexts, including ancient Egypt, dinosaurs, British history and values, environmental issues, weather patterns and map skills. Through these projects, pupils develop an understanding of how people, places and environments have changed over time, and how natural and human factors shape the world we live in.

Project Learning promotes research, discussion, comparison and reflection. Pupils work with different sources of information, apply key vocabulary and present their understanding in a range of ways. The approach supports progression in knowledge and skills, encourages critical thinking, and helps pupils see learning as connected, purposeful and relevant across the wider curriculum.
